Discussion about Cracker - The Golden Age
Ckelond
Cracker bring something new to the table with each show and with each new release. Cracker's a progressive group ... always looking forward, always moving ahead. I’m not sure they have a script any for any of this, other then the experiences they’ve learned while on the road. This is a very fine reflective album. It states facts and asks questions for which there may seem to be answers, but in the end, all they, and all we are left with is the music, a soundtrack for a life less certain. The music is rhythmic, dynamic, and solidly rooted. There is a great deal of Rock ‘N Roll blending effortlessly with the Blues and Country flavorings ... to the point where all are so intermixed that it becomes impossible to distinguish one from the other ... creating an atmosphere and space that is very comfortable to be in.This release is not as smooth as their next album will be, but as I said, Cracker bring something new to the musical table with each outing.Review by Jenell Kesler
